From the President:

Dear Friends and Partners of this ministry,

The President has a problem and needs your help!

Word has come to CCBI that the National Directors and students would like their President to be more involved on a daily basis instead of working just on weekends. The college is growing and in need of a full-time President.

Therefore, the President of this College is making a plea to all of the people who are involved with CCBI in one way, or another, to prayerfully, consider the card that is enclosed in this mailing which will help him raise much needed financial support. By filling out the card and sending it back to us, you will be making your commitment not only to the President but more importantly to the National Directors who are on the SPIRITUAL FRONTLINES.

The President believes that there will be an overwhelming response to their plea, and, he will be able to fulfill his duties that are demanding his full attention which involves the following: traveling to the various nations to strengthen and encourage the National Directors; to officiate at the graduations every year; and to organize and send out faculty to do seminars for the students; to be free to raise much needed funds from churches and individuals like yourselves; to establish a financial base on which to build CCBI internationally in every country that the Lord opens the door to.

The President while preaching at a church had the opportunity to speak to the pastor about the need for support. And, the pastor told him the following: A pastor was praying for money to finance different projects in the church and constantly pleaded with the Lord for the funds. Many months passed as the pastor prayed for the money but nothing happened. Then one day while he was praying, the Lord spoke and said, “I do not have any money!” The pastor was stunned at this and while contemplating this, the Lord spoke one more time, and said, “Ask my people they have the money!”

WILL YOU HELP THIS PRESIDENT
MAKE A DIFFERENCE ?

Dr. Desmond Rose
President

God Is Good!

Dr. Saunders sends his heartfelt thanks for all the cards, emails, phone calls and especially prayers following his riding mower accident and subsequent shoulder surgery.

He is feeling much better now, even though his shoulder is officially immobilized for another week or so. He will be in therapy through June and July, but is expecting to be ready for a Baptist mission trip to Brazil in early August. Christian friends have been gracious to help with yard work which had gotten out of hand after the accident, and truly, God is good!

Long Range Investment

We are amazed at the number of former students from three, five, even ten or twelve years ago who keep popping up to resume their studies, request transcripts, or take another degree. They have not forgotten CCBI and they do appreciate the Christian education they have received. If you are one who has been supporting and praying for CCBI for many years, you should be gratified to realize that your efforts, finances and concern continue to minister in Jesus’ name to students throughout the Caribbean and East Africa.

We urge you to undergird Dr. Desmond Rose in prayer and financial support as he strives to continue the program and make improvements for CCBI in the new century. His position is demanding and he does appreciate all the encouragement he can get.
